Our work whiteboard uses a special liner tape to section off certain information. Over time, it has built up a mess of dry erase whiteboard marker. Unfortunately, now when i go to clean it, all it does is smudge the mess and make things worse. It's quite sticky too. I've tried using a specific whiteboard cleaner but to no avail. Any help?

If the whiteboard cleaner that you used wasn't Expo, then you could try drawing all over the residue, then erasing it with one of the Expo erasers. It works when people accidentally put permanent markers on the board, so it should work for that.

~~Windex makes them like new again. Probably household ammonia would work too. But I know for certain Windex does the trick!~~
