In 2 separate bags of pistachios from the same company I found bugs. These bugs are inside the pistachios, 1 in each bag. As if they burrowed into the actual nut before roasting. I kept the second bag along with the nut with the bug in it, and contacted the company which is Kars Nuts. I have always been an avid pistachio eater, they're my favorite food. And I have never found this before. Upon contacting the company the only solution they had was an apology and to give me my money back for the 1 bag. they also said that 99.9 percent of the product is okay and that it is very rare for that to happen, but I found it in 2 separate bags at 2 separate times from the same company. And now I can't enjoy my nuts because I have to worry about checking every single 1 carefully. I'm not satisfied with just getting my money back and I'm curious what I should do? Any advice or suggestions? Thank you so much in advance!

Insects are in more of our foods than you may care to imagine. Even the FDA allows for a certain percentage of bug parts to be found in food because it's nearly impossible to eradicate the problem completely. The good news is that eating an insect will probably never hurt you, some are even nutritious. But the chemicals they use to get rid of bugs are never good for you. And you probably should worry more about contagious diseases in your food like e coli and salmonella.

They apologized and offered a refund. There's nothing else for you to do. Insects are found all the time inside products that come from the earth or the trees, despite anyone's best efforts to filter them out. If you found something that is not natural in the nuts, like glass or plastic it might be a different story. I've found worms in lettuce and bugs in berries. That's life.

Nope....Beneful isn't a actual stable canine foodstuff. a lot of fillers and synthetic colorings (those are not relatively peas).... stable rule of thumb is do no longer purchase something you will locate on the food market or Wal Mart. no longer each style from Petsmart/Co is a foul factor, there are "first rate" meals there....hen Soup for the canine Lover's Soul, Blue Buffalo, Nutro extremely, and so on are lots better than Beneful.

Insects happen in the foods we eat. I would suggest changing brands. It is not worth trying to pursue the company, they have offered what is fair.
