about 6 months ago i spilt indian ink on my window ledge causing it to leak onto my curtains. i got a bit of it off, but it's dryed and left a spillage mark with a dark outline, quite large. i know this is going to be hard seen as though it's been 6 months like that but i've tryed bleach, artist soap and turpentine and nothing is getting rid of the dry-line it's left. i need a remover quick so online purchases can't happen and something from the uk/england. the curtains are a thick cotton material. i need to get it off so that i can get my £300 bond back from university :( ..the pains of being an artist ey! thankyou

India ink is one of the hardest things to get rid of. You can try hair spray and alcohol, but may not work.

I would start getting used to the idea of being a starving artist and save up the money. You may be able to lighten the stain, but getting rid of it will be virtually impossible.

Hairspray - the inexpensive the higher - will get rid of ink from material. Spray it on calmly, then use a blank white rag to dab away at it, relocating to a blank component of rag because the ink comes up. Launder or dry blank object if feasible whilst performed.

Back in my college days, when drafting pens got really grungy with dried ink we always cleaned them with ammonia. That worked when nothing else would dissolve the gunk.

Good luck.
