Household products to kill dust mites?

I just found out I have a severe dust mite allergy along with other allergies. I don't have the option to pull up my carpet and I can't buy the mite killer products till probably at least 3 weeks from now. Is there anything I can put on my carpets that will help or is just vacuuming enough for now? My mom gave me covers for my mattress and box spring.

Vacuuming is fine. Take down your curtains, all unnecessary linens, towels, unworn clothing, etc. Get rid of all the fabric you can.

1) Lysol

2) Steam cleaning with King Pine or Pine Sol

3-Spray Fa-breeze then after and routinely.
